well has it says my mate which alot on here has met (jase with the evo)

has jus been made redundent finishes next week

so this is what he is looking at he was the manager in a peugout garage he has worked on mechanics for aprox 15 years he has is mot license and stripped and built engines and all the rest to do with mechaics and electrics

basicly he wants to have a go his self start a garage then add a mot centre on to it he knows how to run them but setting up and knowing what you pay for this and that is another ball game so help is neaded

can he get help from the goverment for a small buisnes

what sort of rates will he pay all this is just rough so he know what to look for

insurances what do you need what sort of prices

buisness rates is there any

i cant think any thing else any input would be of great help

he is also going to need ramps mot tools and machines to setup any info

There will be a local small businesses group i would imagine there is also a goverment run small businesses help sort of thing as well . He will need insurance for the premesis himself and anyworkers, civil liability insurance and it might be an idea to get something to protect his income i.e morgage etc. I don't know how much the insurance it will change with the type of work thats carried out.

Equipment wise there always seems to be some sort of trade based magazine that will have old equipment for sale and such.

Good luck to him running your own business is quite an arduous task
