New Gs 300

I went to the launch of the new GS 300 on Thursday like many of you I expect. The dealer told me that there will be no Sports version. The new one looks very good but I know a Sports version would look even better. Is it correct that there will not be a sports version?

If so does that mean that my MK II Sports GS 300 will go up in value or hold its value because it is the last of the GS 300 Sports.

nice thought - but I doubt it.

all the Lexus "sports" models are really just trim / subtle differences that can easily be added by owners afterwards.

If they had special engine combinations or such - they may hold their value better, but I down't think bigger wheels, and £12 "Sport" stickers are gonna help too much with resale values.

i would think much like the mk1 and mk2 the sport version will follow in a few years ,as for the mk2 sport going up in value or holding its value i think you have very little chance of that happening

Both the series I and series II GS sports were something that Lexus GB decided to do. Takes are year or two before after market parts become available and this time 18" wheels and spoilers are being factory fitted in Japan so there is less need to do so.

there will be some aftermarket dealer fitted options, but these will fall under the L-Finesse brand, expect to see the L-Finesse branding towards the end of the year
