Mot Due & Warranty About To Run Out

Hi you helpful people!

My IS200 1st MOT is due at the end of this month. Do you know if I can book it in before the 3 years has elapsed just in case anything is found faulty that might be covered under warranty?

If not, do Lexus provide a free checkover when the car is about to run out of warranty?

I know it sounds cheeky but I don't want to find any problems when the car no longer has warranty. I have decided not to buy the extended warranty due to cost etc.

some dealerships do offer a warrenty check over, but sadly most dont.

why not book in for an mot now before the warrenty runs out, so if anything does fail then its covered, also ask them to check over the known problems like the lower ball joints etc.

MOT's can be performed upto one month in advance together with the reg doucuments.

and you still have 3 weeks to have warranty checks and work carried out, providing the cars not done over 60,000 mile already

Took mine in last month to chester a month prior to test, jayne was very helpfull , they don't do MOT's at there place yet, they take it down the road. gave me courtesy car whilst in. But failed on tyre worn, as they dont mot thereself mot station would not fit new spare so car failed and had to take back week later as it was to late on the day. but jayne gave me a nice bottle of red and white wine for the inconvinience.

Took it to Chester and it passed - PHEW!

I was also concerned why the MOT form says "Cheshire Oaks service station" !!! That explains why! Lexus Chester don't do the servicing!

Anyway, while I waited I took a Blue RX-8 out for a testdrive !!!!! To be honest nice power, but naff cheap interior (and the Stereo in the IS whips the RX-8's backside!)
