Tyre Wear

On the IS300, which tyres wear quicker - front or rear (under normal non-boy racer) driving?

I have done 8,500 miles, fronts have 7mm and rears 6mm tread.

Should I swap them over to get even wear? Rear to front diagonally?

Leave them where thay are?? modern tyres adjust their profile according to load and weight disribution if you move the tyres front/ rear the handling can be impaired plus the tyre may distort, and i would say "never" change the tyres direction of rotation..

When you say the tyres are directional does that mean they are marked ( with an arrow ? ) to show which way they should turn, or does it mean once it's been on the car and gone clockwise keep it going clockwise?

Well there are three types

1: symmetrical: turn it/ move it/ rotate it (mark none)

2: directional/ arrow must point forward/ only move is axle to axle (mark arrow)

3: asymmetrical/ move only axle to axle (mark inside/outside)

Surely asmmetrical tyres can be moved left-to-right and front-to-back. You just need to ensure the tyre is mounted on the wheel the correct way round.
