Scatch Remover

Hi

The bumpers on my IS200 (Platinum Ice) have sctaches some deep, some shallow and some scuffs.

The corner bumpers have also lost their shine.

What you you recommend I use or do?

Or even a complete re-spray of the bumper ......... depending on how bad it is ?

Try Meguiars Scratch-X first with polish on top - see if that helps at all....

Just out of curiosity how much am I looking at for a front bumper respray? Just ballpark.

dont bother with scratch x i tried it and was not impressed at all - it takes ages to get a scratch out as it is very mild, a far better and quicker scratch remover is "turtle wax scratch and swirl remover" it will still take u a while but its far quicker, its the only thing i will use.

I've found Autoglym Paint Renovator to be excellent, but haven't used scratch-x or the turtle wax one so not too sure

Look in Yellow pages for your local "Chips Away" franchise, I had some corner scratches removed and resprayed in exact match for aprox £80. They come to you and work on the car, he only did an area about 6inches square on the corner edge. ...looks great!

If it costs that much you may as well get your bumper resprayed? My local place charge £85 + Vat

you do know thats a pretty abrasive polish, should be used to remove oxidation etc.

it would make a good swirl remover, but be very careful with it
