Just bought an MP3,now please remember that I am from the wind up grammy era,can I transfer my CDs onto my computer and thence onto the MP3

I have XP on my PC + itunes, do I need any other kind of software to do this.

I can turn the PC on and click the mouse to open a few programmes,but as for doing what alot of of you seem to be able to,I'm about as much use as a concrete parachute.

Input and advice would be greatly appreciated :D

You should be sorted with that Pete, just load up iTunes and it will go on the net and pull down all the song names for your CD.

All you need to do then is just make a new playlist in iTunes (on mine it's File menu, New Playlist) , and copy the songs from the CD into your playlist.

To do that you just have to select all the songs on the CD and drag them onto the playlist - not sure what level you're at mate but that just means left click the top song, hold the shift key down on the keyboard and left click the bottom song - they'll all highlight then you just hold the left mouse button down and drag them across to whereever)

If you wanted to you could just drag them into the library but I tend to lose track of what's in my playlists then...

It will then say importing and after a few minutes it's all done :)

If it's an iPod you then just sync it with iTunes and you're all done :)

Cheers Aido.Just bought a Samsung MP3 player 128MB storage Up to 60 songs apparently We have some classical CDs that wifey wants put onto the player :D

Not sure if that works directly with iTunes mate, if it does then you're laughing, otherwise you may end up importing into iTunes then copying out of there onto the device - did it come with any software?
