I got from my local auto store some Blue Print ADL front discs for my is200, this make any good?

As pads will need changing too so what brake pads shall i use? would it be ok to buy something like Mintex pads? as i not using Mintex discs would this combination of Blue print ADL + Mintex make pads waer out quicker or cause to discs to warp?

I know this is the case on OEM discs + EBC pads.

Alternatively should i stick to OEM toyota/lexus pads or Blue Print ADL ones?

Cheers

ADL discs are the muts, but you must use ADL pads as well on any disc, the Mintex pads run to hot, the down side is the ADL pads have more metal in the mix so wear on the disc will be an issue.

Thanks for replies.

Considering going for Mintex then, not sure if i like the sound of 'too much metal' in the brake pad that causes them to wear...........

EBC is outta question heard EBC has very minimal brake dust though......

Watch out for the "warp" Mintex run hot, soft is not always better?

Do blue print not do pads to match their discs? If not and your after high performance pads, I can reccomend ferodo road/race(forget the exact model no.), or pagid(expensive , but the mutts nuts).

Mintex are reasonable if you buy the standard road pads, but they do make high performance pads that are much better

They have that wrong then. The pads on the IS are the same as the series II GS

I checked with Blueprint technical today, asked about pad number Blueprint ADT 34291,they cross referenced with OE part number, and fits....IS200, IS300, GS300,GS430 and SC430 .

Now that is as per original equipment pad,not aftermarket sports pads :) .
