Now im not anti animals.....but just lately these horse riders round my way, seem to think its ok to ride 2Abreast on our busy roads, causing long tail backs....

Now its againest the law to ride 2Abreast on push bikes, got to be the same for these horseriders?

I think they should tax them £1000 a year to ride on the roads....now if they was to ride to the speed limit it would be another story, but you could walk faster...

Then like today cause theres a long queue of traffic stopped at the temp traffic lights, they ride on the path

I know they were here before cars, but they are a law to them selfs

RANT OVER

Horses can be ridden two abreast on the road, normally this is done if one horse is nervous in traffic, the more experienced horse being on the outside acting as a steady influence on the less experieneced horse on the insde.

However if both horses are quiet in traffic, normal courtesy dictates that the riders should move into file and aknowledge the driver that slows and gives a wide berth to the horse and riders.
