I bought my IS just as they changed the colours over.

the salesmen showed me samples of the colours side by side - and I could not tell the difference

but then again - I see in windows default color scheme

if you are buying something pre-painted - and its one blue, and your car is the other - I would be wary.

whilst I could not see the difference, I would not want to take the risk of having a car that was two different colours

Yes there is a difference between the two. I parked my royal saphire next to cousins strathcaron blue and you could tell the difference

I think Strathcarron looks a shade brighter

The sapphire blue is a tad darker and deeper in comparison to the Strathcaron
