Parking Sensor?

Hello all. I've just bought my first Lexus is200 my dream motor!!! :D . Can anyone tell me if My lexus has a parking sensor as I've looked in the manual and can't find anything.when I put it into reverse there is a bleeping! does this happen just as a warning that it's in reverse or is it a sensor. It's an Is200 registered in Aug 2001.many thanks in advance

Just a warning as when the car is in reverse if you just looked at the gate it could be confused with first ( nothing to pull up or push down as you engage reverse )

Parking sensors are one of the fefw things the IS 200 comes with as standard. But then, neither do BMW or Mercs. In all honestly, they would just p**s you off after a while. :duh:

Parking sensors are the best thing since sliced bread.... if you have ever had the misfortune to reverse into something that cost ya 1500 to fix, then 100 quid for parking sensors is a winner to me ! :)

If you wanted to get some fitted do a search on here for Quanan parking sensors - some member have had these fitted and there is also some info in the knowledge base..

Yup.. thats who I got mine off.... weren't painted though....

(Do I get a refund ? :) )

There easy to paint and the proper paint from Lexus/Toyota is only 9 quid (two cans). So there's no excure to leave any ungly black circles on your bumper (unless it's black already etc )
