Problem Installing Turbo

Well, my turbo kit finaly arrived.

I've ordered it on this site www.turbo-kits.com. And I must say, it didn't al go like I planned

First of all, on the site they say that it's ready to ship. Well, it wasn't. The down pipe was custom made and looks like mine was the first they had to make :crybaby: And they also gave me a v-tec controler (V-AFC) instead of the S-AFC II.

Now my problem is that we didn't get any information about the Apexi Air Fuel controller. So my question is if someone can help us with it. A plan ow where the wires go...??

I once read about RoadRash and his turbo... but is he still active on the forum?

I don't want to put anyone under pressure, but we allready started installing the turbo. B)

Thanks :winky:

I think I have to clear up something:

I never said that it's 100% bolt-on.

We had to do tons of custom work although (cutting, bending, fitting, drilling and and and).

Everybody should really know what he does there.

Means to have experience with turbocharged cars.

It was da*n hard work for me to get informations about the IS200, get wiring diagrams, technical specs about the car, I collected knowledge for about 2 years with friends in America who knows much about that all, some have a bigger workshop than TDI is..... and already tuned tons of cars.

It's not easy also with a bolt-on kit. The only difference is that the most important parts fit, but not evrything.

A turbo conversion isn't a "out of the box-fit in 2 hours-and-drive-JOB".

I already have to do some works almost every weekend or to adjust the electronics new every few days.

You have to love it to screw and work on your car.

Why I write that??

I get PMs with 2-4 questions and people think "So everything is clear let's go".

Like: "What he can do, we can do too!" B)

And in reality they don't know what they do. And it seems more and more people order that TK, don't know which parts they get, how to fit and where they can have problems.

The car isn't made for getting turbocharged.

The Americans don't have the IS200, so they don't really know how to work on that car. I was also surprised that their parts fit, but everything around the car they can't help you.

We have a mate in the German LOC who has a custom made TK spent 9000€ (incl. work) on it.

HE SOLD IT AGAIN NOW! Do you know why??

The tuning workshop, he put the car to, WASN'T ABLE TO DO THE JOB!

Now guess if it's easy or not

And guess why the Monster took so long at the workshop???

I KNOW WHY! That's why my car doesn't run perfect until yet.

As I can see at CyberCore.

He didn't watch for information for the S-AFC, how it works or something.

The difference to me?

I planned every step I have to do "What's next, where we could get problems, what's the solution?"

It's like people want to learn Ai-Kido in 3 days..... :duh:

This post shouldn't be a blame.... it should be a WARNING SIGN!!!

To prevent pepople from ordering a TK, try to fit it, doesn't work and sell it at e-bay.

Sorry but I don't want to get bombed with PMs only why I'm the only one who did everything by himself.

But it was hard work for almost 3 years to get known what I need to know.

And the more you know, the more you don't know what you don't know. ;)

Get the hard way and you know why is something how it is.

Sorry mates, but I needed to say that to prevent misunderstandings.

At the moment it seems people think turbocharging a N/A car is like a birthday party.

Greets RR :winky:

My car is a left hand drive. 5I'm form belgium, might clear things up)

I just want to say: Sorry for asking. Because after reading al of what RoeaRash wrote, I'm still standing where I began.

First of all, I don't install the TK. My car is in a garage who is specialised in Japanese cars and their tunig.

The only problem that he's got is that he doesn't know how to connect the S-AFC. (He's a specialist in Honda, you see)

@RoadRash: The question was to everyone? Not only you!!

I found this:

E2-16 (B-R) / Ignition Power (B )

E6-21 (W-B ) / Earth (E01)

E6-25 (Y) / RPM Signal (IGF)

E5-23 (W-R) / Throttle Position Sensor (VTA)

E5-9 (GR) / Intake Manufold Absolute Pressure (PIM)

As I said before, I'm not installing it. So I just ask if this information will help?

Well, I've got good news. The manuel of the electronics to install the s-afc will be in the garage tomorow. So that's solved.

But still, the problems keep showing up.

The manifold with the turbo on it doesn't fit. It hits the support of the engine.

I'm not sure if i'm telling it all right, so I'll post some picture tomorow. :crybaby:

I know the kits are cheap to buy so can you let us know exactly how many problems you get and how much it costs to resolve please?
