Question About Gs300

I am looking at buying a 1994 GS300 from a dealer. It has 75,000 miles and is in excellent condition. They want $13,500 for this car. They are also including a 1 year warranty. This would be my first Lexus. I am a little concerned about the age of the car, but aside from that it looks great. Anything I should look out for or be concerned with? I am going for another test drive today so any information would be great.

Also, how does this car handle in Snow? We don't get much here, but we can get dumped on once in a while.

At that mileage there is not a lot to look for apart from wheel wobble caused by warped discs and the radiators have a tendency to go as well .i would leave it at home if it snows as they are useless when the white stuff falls

I didn't want to hear that about the snow. This will be my car to commute to work so maybe I better look elsewhere. I like the car, but not being able to drive in the snow a few days a year would be bad. Any other opinions or advice on this car?

Is 13,500 a decent price for this car? One thing I don't like is it only has a cassette, is there an OEM CD player that could be added?

you can drive it in the snow but it will have very little traction ,they have rear wheel drive and a very light rear end .the uk car comes with cd changer as standard in the boot are you sure yours has not got it .

Not sure of car prices in Indiana, but in the UK the equivalent of U$13,500 is WAY expensive for a 94 with 75K

Don't the USA versions come with traction control? If so they should be better in the snow.

If you are using winter tires then you should be fine.

slightly off-topic but why is it that only the LHD MK1 GS300's have traction control? Anyone know what it is about RHD models that prevented us from getting it?

I wonder if the parts are there but it isn't enabled or whether the option is excluded from the wiring loom altogether?
