Howdy All,

Just noticed the seal is becoming very hard and brittle at places mainly due to wear and tear more so now in the winter. How much is it from lexus and should it be a diy job. Has this been discussed. Whats the recommendation.

Well Since I did not get any feedback. I enquired with Lexus.

The rubber seal is not available separately. Which means the whole glass panel has to be purchased. Ha ! & the price £361.00 plus the vat ! and this includes the rubber seal. I think I will leave it for now and later. It is only slightly worn. I wanted to improve the look.

Well it seems to be getting slightly worse. I fear that the inner seal could tear and look really bad worse cause a problem and leaks. So does anyone know where to order the weatherstrip only. US, UK or other. Currently I am investigating.

You might want to try smearing some silicone grease on it - might soften it a little and lubricate it some

Yes thats good advice rodders ! Many thanks ! Will Do. Simple solutions always work. Anyway I have found the part and supplier US based.

But has anyone used them. Its a dam useful kickass site breaks down every single part nearly.

Sorry for the big link but it takes you to the Weatherstrip. Back track for your part and year model. But has anyone used this site for parts recommendations please.
