Passing on the M6, and its parked up on the bridge above with 2 black windows on the side ..

How would you know if it snaps ya ... are they suppose to flash ? Obviously they see you coming as it's pointing at you as you come upto it.

Would they also be aiming directly at the outside lane ?

Are these controlled by Man inside the van or just set up in there pointing at the lanes as one passes ?

Yes those vans are operated by humans , who sit insdie the van. They don't have to aim it at your car directly as they work on an ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) system.

They don't have to flash, as they can focus in on a number plate of a car that's travelling up to 200 mph. (so it claims)

And it can snap something like five or six cars a second. (not 100% sure if they are all the same)
