New Clutch & Cam Belt

hi, i am new this! i have been quoted around £900 for a new clutch & cam belt! is this competitive??? has anybody used prolex? are they good? i have a is200

Not too sure on the cam belt price, but labour is where it'll hit ya.

same as the clutch, labour for this alone will be at least 4 hours.

Prolex is an excellent company to deal with, offers the Helix uprated 4 paddle clutch at the mo...

i had my is200 serviced at the local lexus main dealer, been going there for the last 2 yrs. they valet the car, the cleaners stole some change! garage said they were aware of the prob and will investigate! i dont know what else they have stolen during the last 2 years? cds etc??

When I take my car into any garage I always empty it of anything thats not nailed down so they are not tempted to liberate my possessions.

Ross, don't think Prolex offer services yet, it was an idea for the future, but they could do the install as they have agents around the country.

Don't think any work by Prolex would be viewed as approved by Lexus, just like any other work performed by third party garages.

As for possessions in my car, I just leave everything in it but the bastards snapped an eyebrow in the boot last time it was in so I had to buy a new set :o

John did you get it changed at a Lexus dealer,i think i would have used an independent for the cam belt.

What Lexus warranty?

I believe for used car warranty the car needs to be serviced at Lexus dealers. New warranty can be any garage, not sure about the manufacturer extended warranty.
