What's It Worth?

My old car is coming up for sale as it was sold to a Director of TDi.

It's a 1997 (P) GS300 Sport with the 10" rear wheels. Black with dark tints, lowered springs, uprated anti roll bars, HKS tail pipes, 45k miles.

Nice car - very Gangsta.

Any ideas what he should ask for please?

£7.5k hmmm, sounds a lot for a Mk I 'P', (even allowing for the extras), my brother was only offered £2.5k on his 'N' sport in p/x and I paid £10k for my Mk II 'S' Navigator last year

MKII prices don't really come into it. The top price for last of the MKI sports is around 7.5k private sale - trade in won't get anywhere near that though.

I agree, it won't get 7.5k.

They are currently going below book price due to the petrol prices etc. And don't get me started on the petrol one!!

Mine is supposed to be up for sale, but I can't bring myself to do it, cause I feel they are worth more than they are currently getting. I've been following a few on Auto Trader, but they just aren't selling. There was a standard GS up for 2.5K on a P plate!

Bet you get 8K for it ,It has the rare 10" rears its a good colour and the mileage is very low for the year .the standard cars have never fetched good money and you can not compare the two .the sport is becomming a very rare car i have had mine nearly 18 months and apart from one on this site a while back have not seen another one in the same colour in the flesh .come to think of it have only seen a handfull of sports in all the time i have owned it ,ask anyone looking for one how hard they are to find in good nick with low mileage and FSH .
