Is200 Sport Suspension

Recommended Posts

Hello LOC members

Could anybody tell me the difference between the IS200 SE Auto & Sport suspension please? Would I be correct in thinking the Sport uses SE shocks & lowered springs? Also what is the difference in ride hight & comfort?

Thanks.

Stuart

If the mod or the installation doesn't cause the fault then it doesn't matter if you use Lexus parts or not. You may have to try and prove the part didn't cause the problem but clearly if you have a problem with your engine or gearbox for example that has nothing to do with what springs you have on.

Cheaper and better option would be to put on Eibach springs.

About £160. Fitting shouldn't cost more than £100, although you can do it yourself. Need to budget in a full wheel alignment about a week afterwards otherwise you could eat through your tyres if it's out.

You can also get the TTE ones (which are just rebadged Eibachs) from any Lexus dealer. Not sure how much they are.

hi mate, pre 2001 sport is 10 mm lower than the se and s,late 2001 was lowered an extra 5 mm,hence the sport being 15 mm lower on later models, the best buy would be the later models as it will handle nice with a firmer ride than the se and s models.hope this helps. :)

Think it's only the springs which are different so that's all you need to change unless you want to go for uprated shocks as well. Other option instead of springs and shocks I guess would be coilovers.

Most people on here seem to just change the springs if that's any help?
