how much oil

How much oil would it take to fill on a 3.0 engine?

I left my car with the garage and Always wonder if they actually put the magnatec in my car and not some old cheap mineral stuff.. so I want to know how much oil i would need to fill up to the max line.

and would i have any spare on a 4.5 litre can?

I had a 1.0 metro (yes, really going for the pity thing) that took 5 litres... I don't think engine size has that much to do with it!

i guess it depends on the sump size....

Thats because in the Metro the gearbox and engine oil are combined, so it takes more than a standard (or should I say proper) car.

I had two in my student days... What piles of crap they were!
