Hi all, now that the cold weather has arrived I've started to use the Remote Climate on my LBX Premium Plus Design. However it doesn't switch on the heated screens , mirrors or seats and the facility  does not appear to exist in the Lexus Link app. Dealers have not been helpful and couldn't even tell me if this facility exists on this model. can anybody enlighten me?

Have you tried using the in-car controls to achieve the aim? Why worry about using an app to run your car?  Whatever happened to app-free car ownership?

One of the major advantages of modern cars and communications is the ability to precondition one's car. If it's offered then it should work.

Whatever happened to choke levers and starter handles??

It may be a ‘major advantage’ in your book my friend, but only if it has the technical reliability to back it up…we all know the ‘major disadvantages’ the Lexus app suffers from.  I rest my case…I’m done here😉😎

I think we said the same thing?

"if it's offered then it should work"

Yes, it is a "major advantage" to come out to a deiced/cooled  car has to be better?

P.S. I don't know you from Adam, so to call me a friend is a stretch ...😉

My 14 year old Range Rover offered the opportunity to remotely unlock the car, open the boot, close the windows, close the sunroof or pre heat the cabin - all from the key fob. Nothing seems to have changed 🤔

Except that it worked far more reliably, no cell phone or internet involved...

Ah, the good old days 😆

My first two cars were Beetles with the "automatic" choke which was basically a stepped hinge containing a bi-metallic strip attached to the throttle cable and the side of the carburettor. Always cut off too early so you'd spend about the first mile using your right foot to operate the brake and accelerator at the same time as you slowed down.

And no real heating to speak of. Don't know you're born you lot...😆

They’ve improved the app but talk to the dealer if features are missing. If something needs the internet then you need a decent signal for the car and phone.
