Hi

I’m new to this forum and would like to ask if anyone has advice on how to improve the dipped headlights on my NX300h 2017 (pre facelift)

I find it really difficult driving at night as the dipped lights don’t seem to be bright enough, the main beam is good.

I think the dipped light is an LED but even asking the local dealer hasn’t confirmed this.

Hope someone can help.

If it's the same as my IS 300h then pre-facelift will be HID. If you have just the one headlight lens that is both dipped and main beam (watch while turning main beam on) then the same HID bulb is used for both and a shutter in the headlight controls the throw of beam. I recently changed my HID bulbs for Osram Xenarc 220 bulbs and found that they were a decent improvement over the OEM (which were Osram Xenarc but not the 220, just normal). Certainly worth a try (not sure how hard they are to change on the NX). The other factor could be is the headlights are aligned low - they can be adjusted but you would probably need to get that done at a place that has headlamp aiming equipment.
