My previous car would show the current speed in the map screen of the infotainment screen as well as on the main dash, which we found beneficial.

Is it possible to get th 14" screen in my NX 350H to do the same ? I had a search this morning but found nothing, but I'm still very much in a learning phase.

Don't think that this is possible.

Do you mean at the bottom of the navigation map..?

I think that a speed reading appears if you use Waze or MagicEarth as you navigation map in Android Auto .... probably in AirPlay as well

A second for Waze over Airplay.

Top left corner, GPS speed is indicated in a red circle. It looks like a speed limit sign.
Should you stray over the limit it beeps and goes completely red until you slow back down.
Very handy.

I also noticed that the car's speedo is consistently +4MPH compared to GPS speed

I think that is a design feature to 'help' drivers stay below the limit
