RX450h tyres Falken or Yokohama

Hi everyone, 

 

We've got an Rx450h F sport. Had it for two years now and it's got the Bridgestone Dueler tyres (235/55 20). They need changing now. Been reading this forum and various others and it seems people rate the Falken tyres alot. Also have my eyes on the Yokohama Geolandar.

Looks like Falken Azenis FK520 has better wet and fuel economy ratings in comparison with the Yokohama Geolandar. On BlackCircles they're pretty much the same price, however a local tyre place is doing them for £160 fitted (with a black Friday code). They can do Geolanders for around £185 fitted. 

Question is are those two good choices? Any other choices within the same price bracket? 

Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Definately Mitchelin Primacy All Weather Tyres.. Simply The Best..!!! Particularly for this Car..!!  (Quieter Ride ) Absolutely..!!

Just had 4 Michelin cross climate fitted to my car. 235/55/20. Excellent tyres if you prefer all season.

National tyres have a Black Friday offer. 20% off when you buy 4 tyres. Total was £779.97 fitted. £194.75 each Happy with that. Also have £25 tracking on top cashback, hope that also pays out in the future.

Don’t know about performance on other cars but I have been extremely happy with assorted Falkens on my Ls400 and 2006 Honda Legend ….. been using Falkens for many years and tens of 000s of miles 👍

When I look at National Tyres and search for Michelin in 235/55/20 nothing comes up. All they're offering in that size are 2x Bridgestones, 2 x Pirelli, 2 x Continental and 1 x Hankook.

Have had both Falken and Yokohama on a few Ravs and now Yokohama Blue Earth on rear of my 450h. They are actually very similar mileage wise, but the Yokos I usually found a bit quieter. Bridgestone give you good mileage, with crap wet grip and noisefulness.

Had the Geolanders on mine for 18 months now and wearing really well,,8k miles ,pretty quiet too

At the moment 37mpg around town ,on the motorway 42, happy with that 😁

I have just fitted 235/50/20 Michelin Cross Climate 2 for my NX450H. Amazing tyres. Got an excellent deal from Costco. They have £100 off on 4 tires and fitting free on Michelin. £652 for 4 for me. Happy days!!!
