Hi guys I bought my 2016 GS300h F-sport in July this year its got 70000 miles on it now.

When I bought it the steering in normal was very very light basicaly you can do full turn with one finger without any effort.

Now the steering went gradually stiffer and stiffer and its very heavy now in normal mode... When I put it to Sport+ it doesnt feel like there is much difference at all in heavines of the steering wheel just the car feels more stable on the road.

Its got the extended warranty still but I think its £400 for checking so I tought I might ask first on here as this is first car I have that has warranty on it and Im not sure how it works...

The tyres are on 2.3 bar on front and back and front tyres was changed in July by Lexus so they are new...

Hi

The Hybrids are complicated cars so I would look into getting a diagnostic done by Lexus and making a claim through the warranty.

Have you checked your front tyre pressures?

Yes the pressure is 2.3 bar on front when tyres are cold and 2.4 after while of driving.

if a warranty fault is found the charge is dismissed. The examination fee is usually hourly rate. Is it possible to test drive another for comparison or are you certain it is harder to turn?

To be honest I dont know anyone who has got the same car I Live near Rugby and havent seen many here atm.

Im 100% certain the steering is alot heavier than when i bought it, the only thing i can think of is the tyres were brand new with probably only 5 miles on them when i bought it and now ive done maybe 2k miles so they would have a bit of wear on them but surely that shouldnt make so big difference? 🤷

I don't think wear on tyres would be so much of a difference that you would feel it.

Since these cars have electric steering assist it is best to get to get it checked out either by Lexus or the waranty company

Tbh I cant say the steering feels heavy in any mode if anything I'd say the rack feels quicker in sport and sport+ rather than light
