Disable TPMS check in ECU

Hey all, I've been trying to get ahold of some TPMS sensors for my 2006 GS 450h. Anyone know the part number for a more accurate search?

Found some programmable AUTEL ones, but the ECU via Techstream doesn't accept the code, as it apparently needs TPMS's that are compatible for my model. 

So, considering my ECU doesn't even show me the pressure values, just alerts me when they're too low, I was thinking of disabling the TMPS check altogether from the ECU, which is gonna be cheaper than hunting for compatible TPMS. I have someone that can do that for me, but we don't know where the ECU is in this model anyone have a clue?

Thoughts or advice in case you have other suggestions?

No offence intended, but if they don't even know where the ECU is I would not have any confidence they know what they are doing, messing about with the ECU is not for the faint hearted.

He's good with electronics/computers and works with many cars, from what I know. Not provocative, just asking: does someone have to know where every ECU of every model/make is, in order to be good at working with them?

Also typically for most modern toyota / lexus models the tpms ecu is also the ecu that reads the key to unlock the doors and is typically located in the c pillar on the passenger side i.e behind the rear seat left side. Not sure if its the same on a 2006 GS. I wouldn't go messing with it unless i had a thorough understanding of how all the different ecus on the car communicate with each other. Else you might end up with a permanent tpms light on the dash which is an mot fail. While they dont diaplay the readings my understanding is that they do read the pressure for some models are are aftermarket modules that are able to read and display the pressure that the tpms sensors pick up on the dash. I had done this on my 2014 IS

On a 2006 vehicle it will not fail an MOT with the light illuminated on the dash. Had this once with my 2009 GS 450h. It's just ignored as it didn't become mandatory till  2012 models. It is annoying though.

There as been lots of discussions about TPMS sensors plenty on Our friemds on Club Lexus in the states and i dont think anyone as managed to get that light to stay off but  I do believe the ECU for it  If I recall correct is under the Gear change consul but as others have said i dont think i would mess with it, however i wish you luck on it i think i would bite the bullet and get them changed.

The point of the Autel programmable TPMS sensors is to program them with the original codes from the old sensors, either automatically or by looking at the old sensor - the codes are printed on there. A tyre place should be able to do that with their programmer. (You need to find somewhere with a specific Autel programmer unit I think)
