Hi @dragonf1y

Those wheels were an option for MK3 LS400’s in some markets, and as others have said were known as the DHP alloys on UK MK4 LS400’s. They are Italian made OZ Racing alloys, so a well respected manufacturer who Lexus UK were happy to supply.

You are correct on the tyre age, the 245/50 was literally only shared with the Jaguar XK8. They were never a great tyre, and being so old you will notice a huge improvement replacing them to another good brand.

I chose Michelin Pilot Sport 5’s, but there are loads of fantastic makes to choose from.

Carefully inspect the tread wear of the old tyres, if they have worn evenly, you may not need much adjustment, maybe just re centering the steering wheel. If there are huge wear differences, get a four wheel alignment done sooner than later.

Here is my MK4 on the same alloys.

Ben, what tyre pressures do you use with the 225/55's?

We  use the LS  for pottering  about, not  fully loaded or  sustained high(ish)  speeds, so I’’ve set the tyre pressure for comfort at 32 psi  all around.  If I  was  to have four people in the car with luggage etc I’d put that up by 3 psi.  There is no  way I’d run  43 front 52 rear, (made up pressure)) the LS is for comfort.
