LBX asks to accept terms and conditions on every start.

Hi guys, has anyone figured out wether it is possible to accept these terms and conditions that pop up on the screen once and for all? I have linked my profile and keys and even face at this point and it still asks every single time.
Thanks!

This drove me nuts recently. In my case, it wasn't recognising my profile and kept logging me in as a guest. It didn't matter how many times I entered my password into the car, it kept forgetting me and chucking up the terms and conditions screen at start up. I then reset my password in the Lexus Link+ app, entered the new password into Cordelia and it's now sweetness and light again. For how long though, I can't predict. There is only one thing I do not like about Cordelia and that is how shockingly bad the IT side of things is. When it works, it's ok. When it doesn't - and it seems to chuck its toys out of the pram every couple of months or so, it's a right pain in the backside.

Amazingly having too many special characters in your password can cause problems.

I had the same issue with my NX and on advice from another forum member (advice from their dealer), I changed my password to only contain the @ symbol (still long and complicated) and all my problems went away.

Worth a try.

Really appreciate these answers! It's my first Lexus so I wasn't 100% sure on some bits. I will definitely try these solutions out and hopefully it resolves. It certainly seems a little dated at times with some of the software which is pretty surprising but absolutely love this car.

The dealer also recommended that for both drivers we share the same Lexus Link app login on our iPhones to avoid confusing the system, I've done this but who knows if having both phones in the vehicle sometimes causes issues regardless. :confused1:

This LBX is the most unpleasant car l have ever owned. Some might like the electronic intrusions - l hate them. Bleeps, bongs, stupid messages on screen, grabbing at the steering wheel - horrible. Why do l have to have a phone connected to use my car - apart from Lexus using hundreds of tracking cookies. Lexus dont care - why would they - they have my money. These are not safety aids, they are poorly designed intrusions that create danger by distraction from driving. Cant wait to get rid of the wretched thing. Shame because without all the crud it would have been a good car.

I only use one login on my NX and my partner and I share the same key. I have done this as I only want one lot of drive information etc.

Generally if I get in the car first the car connects to my apple CarPlay, if not it’s quick and simple to switch it over.

Welcome to the world of EU mandated safety aids. I’m afraid any new car will also come with similar.

You can turn most of these systems off by pressing the button next to ‘climate’ they’ll come back on though.

Al’s right. My 2019 Corolla had none of this stuff as it’s now standard in EU. My partners ‘22 Yaris only has a few of the systems. You can alter the sensitivity in settings so turn them down a bit.

I’ve got a 2020 UX, and I can pretty much just get in and drive it without too many distractions.  I agree with everything you say regarding the distractions, especially the steering wheel ‘grab’ - which is dangerous imho.  Sure, I get the odd bong - like I got in my 15 yr old BMW - which makes me look up….but, for the moment, it’s  the speed camera warning.  I guess I’ll get double helpings on the bong front when the weather gets colder.  Moral of my story?  You might consider getting a slightly older lower mileage Lexus, which won’t distract you too much🤔🤔😉😉
