Hi all,

Just joined, so thanks for having me.

Picking up my new NX 350H Premium 4WD on Friday and hoping that the legendary Lexus reliability and good dealer network works for me.

I'm sure I'll have questions as a newbie to Lexus and hopefully I'll have some contributions to make as well.

First question; Is there a dedicated section for each model or is it just a melting pot for all models and specs ?z

 Thankyou both.

It's going to take me a while to figure out how this forum works. On and off, it's just taken me all evening to figure out how to sign back in !!

Second question; I'll be looking to source a set of rubber mats and also a rubber (plastic) boot liner if the one from my current car doesn't fit. Any suggestions for reasonably priced items and I'm not going to pay Lexus prices?

Welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. We like to see pics when you take delivery of your new NX!

Regarding car mats I have used carmats4u.com in the past and have found service and quality to be great. They also offer a range of colour, material and trim options.

Posting pictures, now that could pose a challenge 🙃

Welcome Paul,

Lexus Parts Direct are very good.  I’ve bought mats and dog guards from them. As for destinations, I usually rely on apple CarPlay and use the voice command Hey Siri, get directions to…. I’ve not tried Hey Lexus, yet, but I imagine that would work too.

Thankyou Tim, I'll be up your way tomorrow to pick up my new car in Swindon.

Thankyou for your suggestion, but I certainly won't be paying Lexus Parts Direct prices and I've never owned an apple product, nor will I.

Welcome Paul,

Or you could try to ask nicely the dealership if they could provide them complementary as a gesture of good will in exchange of you being a faithful customer, best of luck!

I did consider that, but I deem the deal I've got would preclude asking for more. To be fair, I can get a set for a little over £20, although not the best qualty.

Thankyou for the welcome 😁.

Welcome.

I concure with the suggestion of CARMATS4U.COM

Excellent quality and value

If you haven't already done so, download the owner manual and the navigation manual from here:

https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/manuals?utm_source=LexusOwnersClubUK&utm_medium=ForumLinks

The paper one that comes with the car is only a 'quick start'......and the pdf version is much easier to search

Welcome Paul…and I’m sure you’ll find the LOC very informative - and even entertaining!  While you’re on the Lexus site downloading the Manual(s) you might consider looking at the ‘My Lexus’ section.

It’s where the Dealer can log all the activity relating to your car.  I’ve found it quite useful in the past.

Oh, I don’t know…

Remember, the Dealer’s aim is to retain you as a customer and make more money out of you over the years ahead. And the worst they can do is find - very sadly - that they are out of the item in question…..

For example, I have a very nice Lexus umbrella….  Another extra you might want to consider is mudflaps.  I don’t know if they come as standard on your car - and you can get them very easily on the aftermarket - and get the Dealer to fit them, if necessary.  They proved very effective on my IS250.

I have used the matts from eBay before. Cost me around £20 for a set of rubber mats plus another £20 for the boot liner. But while they are of decent quality the new rubber smell lingers on for days. I didn't mind it but the wife didn't like it when i installed similar rubber mats on her jazz.

I live a good distance away from the dealer I'm buying from, so I doubt I'll ever see them after I pick up the car today.

It's all happened very quickly, only had a test drive this Tuesday and saw the car I'm buying at the same time. I'm happy with the deal I got, so I don't need to chase them for extras.
