Lexus Insurance vs Admiral

Recommended Posts

Hi

Not sure what you are asking?

You need to compare the quotes and see which one meets your needs best and decide from there.

I normally get a quote from an Insurance comparison site - I pick the cheapest quotes and compare them and look for what each one offers such as: legal cover, windscreen cover, NCB protection and driving other cars. There will be other things to consider.

Once I have narrowed down 2/3 quotes then I look for their company reviews and see what other people have to say about the the service they have recieved.

If the difference between your renewal and new quotes is small then a call to your current insurer is worthwhile and saves jumping from one company to another.

Hope this helps

Got a quote from Lexus direct when I purchased the car it was double.

Their selling point is we use genuine parts in the event of an accident I thought i will pass ridiculously expensive as it is.

How are you sourcing these quotes?

A quote from one company will not be the same for everybody there are way too many variables.

Value of car, postcode , accident record, age, no claims bonus, claims & driving license points, period of ownership of the car, occupation, years driving experience, excess value, optional extras, i.e windscreen, key cover, legal cover, fully comp/third party the list goes on

I usually get mine from moneysupermarket they are are a broker you just select what's required & go with the options that suits you.

Don't think you'll get a firm answer on a forum for who is cheapest to insure. Key is to do research & compare quotes going what best suits you affordability wise.

Lexus are like every other insurer just brokers, in other words they will sell you a policy which is under written by another company in this case.

Policies are underwritten and administered by Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance UK Limited. Registered in England, No. 11105895.

Which in turn is one of 5 Japanese insurance companies in the MS&AD Holdings group.

Interestingly Kwik Fit have now started doing car insurance using the same underwriter so it would be interesting to see a comparison quote between them and Lexus insurance.

Another point regarding “comprehensive” insurance is that the actual description is somewhat misleading. If you define comprehensive you find

“including or dealing with all or nearly all elements or aspects of something.”

However this is generally not the case with all the available add ons like protected NCB, driving other vehicles and legal protection amongst many others.

Perhaps 1st Party insurance would better describe a comprehensive policy and paying in Yen would be cheaper.

Use a comparison site. Once you save your details there every year you dont need to enter them again and moneysupermarket, compare the market etc will show you who is the cheapest. Always check who is the cheapest every year else you end up losing money.

Another point worth mentioning is check your add ons that are often added but not required.

Examples are driving other cars but how many other cars do you drive and how often, also bear in mind this generally only provides 3rd party cover with yet another upgrade (cost) to First party cover.

Breakdown cover is another if you already have it.

The favourite is “Free Legal Cover” no it’s not actually free is it just an enticement.

Just check before buying what you are buying.
