I have put some record albums on a new 16gbs USB C but it's not recognised in the LBX.  Does the memory device have to be configured in a special way, currently it's configured FAT32.

Does the LBX have a USB-C next to a normal USB?

That is what my NX has, but you can only use the normal USB for media files. The USB-C is for charging only.

Yes there are two USB C sockets.  One for media and the other is for charging

Plus two at the rear, charging only. Can't have been too much work or expense to make both front USB-C sockets for data!

I bought a s/h 32Gb iPod Touch 8th Gen off eBay and connected it to the LBX via Bluetooth. I have it in the central arm rest storage with a cable running back to one of the rear USB-C sockets to keep it charged. Works flawlessly and picks up from the track playing when I turned the car off. This leaves the front media USB free to connect my phone for Android Auto or high quality playback from stored files. Bluetooth on the LBX is limited to 320kbps  - thanks apple!

This seems to be a common question asked about USB formats etc. but I am always puzzled why people still want to use USB now?  When I had my Prius I didn't have a choice, but now with my NX having apple CarPlay/Android Auto it is so much easier to use that instead.

I have created a 'Car' playlist on my Mac where I have added several albums and every time I put my Iphone on its charger it syncs and adds any changes I made to my phone and they are ready to be used when I next get in my car.

Am I missing something as to why people still like to use a USB stick?

I have had this problem, I have now downloaded music on to a scandisk USB which has a file built into the memory stick which also us to play music while we drive along.

Hope this help, John & Judy
