Parking sensors info visualization with 360 cam

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

happy owner of a 2024 250h UX here, changing it for a 350h NX in 5 months due to the need of more space for the family.
I love the 360 cam + parking sensors info shown on the screens of my UX, given it combines real time video image from the cameras but also shows the sensor colored distance lines on the steering center control, which really helps specially in my apartment parking lot. I have not find any info showing that this works the same way in the NX. It seems that if you get the 360 cam, you are not shown the basic sensor info with yellow and red lines as well. While I have seen some videos in which the bird view show yellow and red lines, it does not seem to have a “layout” so you know how many more layers do you have until the nearest wall/ object, which seems a miss compared with the UX interface.

I went through the NX owners manual with no luck. Can anyone confirm if it is possible to have the same level of info as in the UX? Adding the picture of what I would love to see in the steering console while the 360 cam info is on on the 14” display.

thank you!

In my 2022 model it doesn’t look quite like your image but it certainly shows all of the info required for safe & perfect parking, including the ability to zoom into each corner of the car.

The above is not quite what you asked but hope it helps

Thanks for replying! I was just wondering if it combines both real image and sensor info, as the later seems to have more accurate proximity information (e.g. the 360 cam view only has one red bar while the sensor info gives two) which comes handy to manoeuvre in really tight space.

From memory it shows a yellow bar before the red bar.

The camera also clearly shows almost a birds eye view of the front & rear bumpers so I find being able to park close up to a wall to within 3-4 inches quite easy. Just wait until the Red bar shows & then edge more slowly whilst looking at the camera  image

Hi David, Sorry late on parade.  I was waiting until I had my NX450H+ out in a suitable area before I took some photos.

I have attached 2 images showing the centre console display when reversing.

Hopefully it shows what the lines are.

Thank you for taking the time to take and share the pictures! This is very helpful. Looks similar so what my current UX view is, but when in reverse, the UX will also show parking sensor info in the top right corner of the screen. I will try to post some pictures as well so you can see what my current 360 cam + parking sensors info looks like.

As promised, I took a some pictures of my UX when reversing. As you can see, the 360 view lines are slightly different and I also get the sensor view at the same timeIMG_4067.thumb.jpeg.3ec6d8a91cd3e37dc70aae308b4068e2.jpegIMG_4069.thumb.jpeg.64761804efdab139adac84f2106ae57a.jpegIMG_4068.thumb.jpeg.4393cc73b131294c6234c9cae9b53a40.jpeg

I think you can change what is shown  in the view lines.....check in your manual.....the online one, not the paper copy that comes with the car

Thank you. I don’t actually want to change my UX config. I was wondering if my future NX can have this same configuration, which is not clear to me based on the online manuals and videos I have seen.

One of the NX configurations is very similar.

TBH it gives all of the info that anyone should need when either reversing or parking nose first
