replacement key cost £600

Dealership charged £500 +VAT (£600) for replacement key.  Is this normal or ripoff?

Jaguar charge about the same... so I think this is becoming "industry standard (rip-off)"!

A bit like the £520 it could’ve cost me for a new wing mirror. My car came with two keys….and it’ll go with the same two keys🤔😉 Really not sure how such prices can be justified for lumps of, what are effectively, plastic🙄🙄😡

It is probably the "high tech" car thieves that are to blame rather than the manufacturers.

Hopefully the £600 prevents the cars from getting stolen.

Some insurers include key cover as an option for a relatively small charge, worth considering.

Assume you mean £520 for the door mirror glass?

The complete door mirror assembly cost me over £2000 when a kind motorhome driver decided to play conkers with it😟

I think that may come down to the cost of a replacement unit for a UX250 v NX 450h

After reading all the comments, I find it interesting to say , my car came with THREE key fobs . Never had 3 before .
