Fixing LS430 rear wheel bearing noise for Dummies (me!)

Recommended Posts

1) Change the hub assembly you think is noisy....2 hour job according to YouTube (ha!).

2) Test drive the vehicle to confirm that the issue has been resolved.

3) Oh dear, much disappointment. ☹️

4) Change the hub assembly on the other side....2 hour job according to YouTube (more ha!).

5) All good.

Simples

Yes I am lucky that I am able to do these things myself and save some money.

I had to buy a 12 point 32mm impact socket and a 3 legged puller but I had everything else.

I used Blue Print hubs which seem to be good quality. I have replaced both front hubs with this brand

since I bought the car in 2014 and those are still good after 55,000 miles.
