Pet setting on the interior alarm sensir

Recommended Posts

Hi I’m new to the forum, just taken my dog out in the new car for the first time, locked it & a few seconds later the alarm went off, I can’t find anything in the settings to disable the interior sensor when Dex is with me, can anyone help please?

I think my NX had a button you pressed on the interior sensor to disable it before closing the door but that was a 2015 NX300h and it was a few years ago so my memory is a bit fuzzy. My current car has a dog mode which you can set in car or via app that disables the interior sensor, displays a "driver back soon" message with the interior temp, keeps the air con running and allows you to keep an eye on the dog in the app via an internal camera. I'd hope other new cars can manage something similar or I'm going to be missing it when I change next.

yes..  had The same problem Chris..There is an internal Sensor Button Above your Head So When you switch the Engine OFF THEN Press the Button Once to switch the sensor Off And once again To Switch it ON A Message will show on the Info Screen to which Setting is Activated..Once you get the hang of it its simple......Handy if you have pets in the vehicle !!!! Hope that Helps.!!!

Oh right, I’ll have a look again in that case, is it in the group of buttons above the rear view mirror, or literally above my head?

You have to go into the menu on the Entertainment screen to disable the alarm sensors before you leave 5he car

press the six button icon at the bottom of the screen to access the vehicle sub menu  scroll through the 3 pages of icons - one is for disabling sensors

you lose the setting once the engine is restarted
