2007 gs450H transmission/gearbox pump noisy ?

Hi all, just been in to Lexus for my new Hybrid certificate, they tell me that my 'gearbox' pump is noisy and needs work to stop it seizing up (?!) which could be terminal (I wondered what that noise was!)They can't do it..... but on here I gather that the pump (is it correctly called the gearbox or transmission pump....) can have its bearings replaced, and that its a known thing. Any experiences, I've had a search round on here but can't pin it down. Can't do it myself but happy to get it sorted. Ta very much.
