I had my 2022 UX stolen and now have 2023 model, beautiful car with trackers& ghost immobiliser. But, no CD Player. I have enormous CD collection and want to get a player for my car.
Can anyone suggest a player with good sound reproduction?

then my car will be absolute perfection

Easiest way is to copy your CD's to a USB memory stick(s) then use that/them. If you somehow connected a CD player you would still be playing it through the car's system so there would be little if any sound difference and the USB route is much tidier and easier. I've done it that way, used a 32gb stick to burn loads of CD's, couldn't say how many you could actually fit onto the one 32gb which is the system limit according to the nav manual.

My phone has about 1725 music tracks...that takes up 40Gb.If you use a music app like Musicolet you won't be limited to 32Gb.

Rather than try and figure out that page, it's probably simpler to just try one CD onto a USB stick using your PC or lap top. Plug it into the car and see if it works!

Nothing to really figure out, posted that page just to show it says the UX System memory capacity is 32 gig. Didn't do anything special copying the CDs to a notebook then onto the stick and it works fine.

Is that in a UX though?

Most of the manuals say the maximum is 32....mine included, although it's not a UX as you rightly say.....what I'm really saying is that it's worth trying with a bigger stick (more music) and see if it works. [I'm using .flac files]

In my RC I used a 128gb USB stick without issue, the handbook says max is 32gb.

Thing is generally you can get around 8000 tracks or more on a 32gb stick, which would be around 500 albums. The UX can hold 9999 files (tracks) so a bigger stick is of no real use just wasted space. If you need more than the 8000 just have another 32gig stick.

That would depend on the quality you required. If you ripped your CDs in a lossless compressed format you are only looking at approximately 64 albums per 32 GB.

But who actually goes that route? Using standard settings to copy the CD then transfer to a stick and using it in a moving vehicle not some studio enviroment sounds fine to my ears.

I told a lie earlier, thought I'd been using a 32gb in the car, turns out it is a 16gb 🙄. Checking it I've got 64 folders and 613 files which take up 2.42gb, got 11.9gb free which would end up with around 3,000 files(tracks) to fill it, so around 6000 for a 32gb.
