Hello all,

Firstly thanks to anyone that participates in this forum. I am a long time lurker and this forum has answered so many questions I've had during my ownership!

As the title suggests I want to discuss the current pricing of the ISF. Whilst always monitoring the market I have been monitoring the pricing since July very closely with a mind to sell my (USB MY10) 73k mile example in the new year. 

To help other owners I have built a spreadsheet which I will continue to add to where possible of the current listings and any previous listings I have record of. This sheet tracks the initial list price and the current price at todays date. if there were any reductions. As for past listings the price is the initial list price and last known price before taken down or sold.

I will also attach a screenshot for general ease. 

With all that information, the current used car market being down and RCF prices dropping into the very low twenties, where does that leave us? 

Based on the information I can see we are left in a position of £14-18k for 08-10? and £18-24k for 11+? depending on mileage and condition of course. 

With used car values on the decline since the huge bump over the last year or two I can't say I'm too surprised. Especially including the Yen to the Sterling rate recently I'm not surprised more potential buyers are looking that way. But still our Lexus' still depreciate less than all that new tat on the markets today! £700 p/a tax seem to put a few potential buyers off who I've spoken to especially, without getting political, the new labour government in and their ever-changing stance on road tax, I don't see them being too friendly to 5.0 V8s! 

With all that being said I'm thinking around £17.5k for my USB MY10 73k mile in the new year. FLSH etc. I will share more details closer to them time when I make the listing. Also considering how long it seems to take to sell these cars, typically way over 6 months I'm not sure I'll be overly ambitious with my pricing.

Very interesting analysis. I could do with the dosh but couldn't bear to part with mine, unless the price went to £50K and even then I would have to think very hard about it.  They really are special cars and I have had a few in my 57 years driving. The burden of £735 tax ( probably more tomorrow ) and the same cost of insurance and keeping the car maintained is a bit of a downer but these cars are far superior to Mustangs Jags BMW  et al V8s.    Just my biased opinion. Long may they reign.

Interesting as I'm also looking to part ways with mine in the next 6 to 12 months. I do feel that the government may make that very difficult with a potential tax hike (one of the reasons I think it's time to call it a day). 

Thanks for the spreadsheet. I feel pricing an ISF is a completely random affair. I have a 60k 2010 USB, which will make the sale a lot easier compared to some, but I feel for ease I'll be headed to a dealer to see what they'll price it up as, when the time comes.

wow, thanks for this info. 

I thought I had been paying close attention to the market, evidently not as close as you!

As a potential buyer this is also very useful, im viewing a car soon and this definitely helps me make sure im not paying over the odds. If that sale doesn't come to fruition @MarcusHarding your car seems right up my street so I would be interested in hearing more about it when you're looking to sell in the new year. 

Also @RichGS11 I could be interested in yours depending on price of course and if I still haven't found the one by the time you're selling! Been following you on instagram for a while haha! 

Yeah the road tax situation definitely makes the prospect of buying a 5.0 v8 daunting but I guess if not now then when!

If you don't like the road tax then get an import! £300 ish for the year.

Also noticed RCF prices have dropped to the point they're now in ISF territory. Great value for a newer, more GT like coupe. But ISF is king IMO, then the GSF which is another league in terms of price.

Good point @saqib_v8 well made. I think most people will look to import, if you are expecting to own the car over 2 years you'll save a good chunk on Tax alone. Additionally JDM cars are said to be generally cleaner underneath and very meticulously maintained! 

With that being said a UK car with FLSH (like mine) will be appealing generally speaking. Even with the ~ £700 tax!

I've never viewed a UK ISF as a hinderance because of the higher VED, just a nice bonus having a JDM and paying slightly less.

The white car in Canterbury advertised with Elmstone Classics is sold as of yesterday.

Just like Luke, I'm also looking for a car and was going to go down the import route in early 2025. But would definitely be interested in a USB UK car if you gents
@MarcusHarding and @RichGS11 will be parting with your beauties.

Please keep me in mind and share details of your respective cars when it's time.

Noticed it has the snowflake wheels, curious if it also features the revised instrument cluster etc.

The previous owner kept it for 5 years and modified the car extensively, looks and hardware included. The wheels might have been added later? No info on the gauge cluster sadly as the car got sold before I could view it. Originally delivered to the UK in 2010 May.

It also had PPE headers and a decatted exhaust at some point 📢. Most parts were reverted to stock for the sale though.
