Towing 🤔

Seen a UX towing a caravan on the A1 yesterday, anyone on here ? I didn't think they had the towing capacity ?

Depends on the spec as to whether they have a towing permission, could never understand why as there's no real difference in weight or power between specs. Mine has no towing limit plate and the manual advises against towing. Believe capacity for those with towing is only 750kg which means an extremely small caravan. I towed a caravan for years, wouldn't like to try and tow with the UX it somehow doesn't feel like it would be any good at it at all.

Lexus offers a hitch and provides info for capacity. I don't see why a small caravan or boat rig would not be possible.

Check the info plate on the B pillar to see if it is type approved for towing

They stopped offering an official tow bar as an option some time ago and you only get a tow weight plate on some spec models, not got one you can't tow at all.

You want towing ability..? You get a turbo diesel...not a CVT😉

I have conflicting info. This is what can be ordered on a new UX 300h according to the website:

The did stop offering one a year or two back for the 250h, dunno what's changed with the 300h. Still wouldn't want to tow with one though.
