Lexus Reserve - eligibility?

Recommended Posts

I am very impressed with the new Lexus Reserve proposition. Avoiding range anxiety for longer trips by borrowing a Lexus hybrid.

https://www.lexus.co.uk/lexus-reserve

Before I contact my dealer, does anyone know if customers who purchased a Lexus fully electric vehicle from a Lexus dealer BEFORE Reserve was launched are also eligible to use Lexus Reserve?

Thanks,

Arne

Isn't it sad that new electric car buyers have to resort to borrowing a car to go on their holidays!

Come-on Boffins, get this range issue sorted!

To be fair I have to stop for fuel in my hybrid. Not as often as I did in my AMG but still needed fuel

It's just a case of a bit extra planning to use EV charge points. A change in mindset..

I understand but sadly I feel that the companies have been forced to produce electric vehicles way before their development has reached a suitable level. I think that we can all agree that a 10 minute interlude at an expensive motorway fuel stop is sometimes necessary on a long journey. What I can't accept is an extra 2 hours (in some cases) during a 500 mile trip, just for charging. Then when one gets to where one is travelling to it has to be charged again. All this dependant on chargers being available of course.

I accept that we will have to move away from petrol eventually - but let's have it at a fair pace that we can all deal with. Rushing to net zero will only cause misery for we Brits and bankrupt UK-PLC. Meanwhile the Chinese will keep producing cars, that are more than adequate by-the-way, using electricity made from burning coal with unfiltered chimneys pumping-out more CO2 in a month than the UK produces in a year!

Where is the sense?
