After reading these messages, if the Battery charges twice as fast in ready/park mode, I'm going to leave it in ready/park when I give it the weekly wash. The engine should only start a few times with the traction Battery running most of the time. Not sure if the doors will lock for security though.

I let mine charge in the garage in ready mode (garage door open) car doors closed, key on seat. I don't believe the car will lock the doors in this situation

A 12V Battery will have around 12.6V when fully charged. It needs to drop down to around 10.5 volts to be considered fully discharged. If it drops down below that, the Battery will become damaged due to excessive sulfation. So 11.4V is not a problem.

If you look at the chart below you'll see that 11.4V is quite a big problem:

Maybe, according to the chart, but I am using a £16 Battery monitor and its method of calculation is based on voltage and temperature.

"Voltage-Based Measurement: Voltage is a common indicator of SoC. As a Battery discharges, its voltage decreases. Monitoring this voltage drop provides a rough estimate of the remaining charge. However, voltage alone may not be highly accurate due to variations caused by factors like temperature and Battery age."

Today's measurement shows the Battery to be OK:

Looking at the history over the last three days it appears the low 11.4 voltage reading (and hence low SoC) was a glitch. You can see it drops suddenly and then recovers quickly, and after the charge cycle has remained pretty constant since.

The SoC chart:

I think the really low temperatures we are seeing at the moment (2° C in the garage) is affecting the SoC calculation or the BM200 is not well designed.

I'm getting fed up with mine as well, with the battery issue, annoying beeps, software map update issues and now a long drive for a recall. It also self brakes while I'm reversing into a friend's tight driveway.

Any more and I'll enjoy taking it down to the scrappies to be crushed.

Sorry to Hear That kevin and Here was Me Thinking of Buying one ..Me-Thinks i'll Just Hang on to my NX300h For Now..In Contrast Since i Bought the Car I Haven't had ANY of These issues Kevin..Starts Every Time No Problems with Annoying Beeps or Flashing lights.. I just LOVE my Car..!!! Kev I Bought a DB tracker from Rewire Security Which is a Simple little Device which Attaches to the 12v Battery AND tracks your Car 24/7 BUT here,s the Important Advantage ..!! It Gives you a Reading Straight to Your I-Phone on the Daily Charge of your 12v Battery AND Hybrid Battery along with a Host of other Valuable information There is a Yearly sub but the Unit itself is only £30 and Fits in 10Mins.. I Have found it INVALUABLE...

ALSO Can i Suggest that you Run The Car Engine for just 10mins every day and that alone will prevent the 12v Battery Depleating.....No NEED to Drive it Leave it STATIONERY.......Hope i have Given You A Few Things to Think About...Cheers..!!!!

I heard that too but I don't do it because I have less faith in the systems. Sad really innit?
