LS430 - Electric rear blind wobbling

My LS430's electric blind wobbles back & forth about half an inch.

I have a donor LS430 with a blind that operates perfectly.

I'm thinking that the best option is to swap, but I do I need to swap everything including the motor,... or?  It's not a job I've done before, fingers crossed I haven't got to take the rear seats out 😆

Maybe have a look at this video and then inspect yours for any loose screws or seized joints:

Thanks.  It goes up and down perfectly.  Just when it's up I can see it wobbling in my wing mirror!?! 😒

I’m thinking you mean the windscreen mounted interior rear view mirror? If you can see it wobbling in your wing mirror it needs some serious readjustment 😀

Have you tried putting the blind up when the car is parked up and then moving it by hand to see if you can locate any loose mountings as Mark suggests?

Well, I had a look and couldn't see mounts immediately loose... it looked like the arms were slightly bent, so the entire blind was hanging forward a little... - annoying when you look in the mirror and see something wobbling around... anyway, I attempted to gently bend it back and I've snapped one of the arms.  So, I will replace the entire thing with my donor - which works perfectly.  Is that a backseat and parcel shelf out job?
