So, I've had the car for a few weeks now, economy is great 65-66mpg but the range indication seems very pessimistic. When I filled up it gave a range of 421 miles but at 14.5 miles per litre, 36 litre tank the range should be over 500 miles. On a recent run I had 150 miles to go and the range was showing 147 miles so I stopped to fill up but could only get 20 litres in the tank suggesting I still had 16 litres  which at 14.5mpl is over 200 miles. I'm hoping it will improve over time, has anyone who's owned the car for longer seen the accuracy improve?

Our car has around 3000 miles on the clock, best we ever see is 55 - 56 mpg.

I think the fuel economy is very dependant on route…..purely urban stop start will deliver high economy, introduce open road or motorway the economy declines.

We do mostly open road driving. ….with small amount of urban.

My two cents in respect to range is my experience following (which was at first also surprising to me).

If I remember correctly is the max content of the tank is about 37 liters, but the car warns me to fill the tank after about 640 km of driving (about 4.5 liters per 100 km). Typical I can put about 23 to 25 liters max in the tank. This means that about 12 liters where left as a margin when the car starts to warn me that I should get new gasoline. In the manual it is stated that about 9 liter is needed as a minimum to guarantee the hybrid system working properly. I guess this is the reason of the early warning.
This seems normal behaviour to me or do I miss anything ?
