2015 IS 300h Hybrid Side View Mirrors folding manually

Recommended Posts

Hi all I own an IS 300h Advanced 65 plate, I was wondering if there was a way to upgrade my electronic system for automatic folding of my side view mirrors after parking. Current l fold the Mirrors using a button on the right side panel before turning the engine off. However wondering if I can move to an automatic systems, its hand when forgetting to fold them when I leave them parked on side of the road.

Thank You

Does the advanced spec not have an Auto button to fold the mirrors?

You maybe better sourcing the mirror units from a breaker yard with built in motor (can't see it being cheap though)

This is from the FSport.

No, the Advance trim does not have electronic comfort / assistance features. It's a base trim with nice leather seats.

I'll never see the business case for car makers in this unless you're Mercedes or Aston Martin etc. Lexus is a challenger to German premium brands yet does not try to bundle in more features to lure customers. There should be only 1 trim level, the fully loaded. They sell you a trim and even if you want something more, oh sorry we cannot take your money, you're stuck with what you have. Idiocy.

Just drove a new Toyota matchbox, Yaris or Aygo, don't remember. It had auto-folding, radar cruise, lane keep assist etc.

There is a lot of reading on the thread but the key point is there are two wires to switch over, after that works perfectly.

Yes i have done this in my 2014 executive variant. You need to buy a module from ali express then open your door panel and plug in the module. Then whenever you lock your car just make sure you press the lock button twice and it will fold the mirrors and when you unlock the car the mirrors open automatically. Its a very handy feature to have. Here is the module

Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out!
