Alarm system - Lexus has no answers

Our car (23 model) was broken into at a university multi-level car park, with the passenger window smashed and the front dashcam ripped out and stolen. 

The police report states, " Vehicle fitted with an alarm that appears not to have sounded." However, it is very hard to tell when they smash the window as CCTV doesn’t cover where your car was parked but shows them walking towards the car at the following times. 

Lexus scanned the alarm system and determined there was NOTHING WRONG with the alarm. 

The time frames of the incidents provided by the police and our son also triggering the alarm when security called him out to the incident do not appear on the scan. Also, no notifications were received on the app. 

There is not a single person at Lexus Brighton and Lexus Australia who can explain why the police report, our son triggering the alarm, and the Lexus scan results are inconsistent.

I'm not aware of the vehicle recording when the alarm is triggered.

Lock the vehicle with a window open and put your hand in after a minute if you want to be sure the interior sensors are working (assuming you have interior sensors as a specification in your country).

Hi Colin, thank you.  I have attached the Security Alarm operation report, my understanding is that the timings don't match the police report nor did it record our son triggering the alarm on the day. That is the dispute. 

At the Lexus's garage, I believe it did what it was meant to do and worked perfectly. This is confusing for the poor guy who works there and he is a very nice person. doc00803920240917164426.pdfdoc00803920240917164426.pdf
