Tyre wear on front nearside outer

Recommended Posts

My car has now done just over 50K miles. I had new Cross Climates about 13K back and had Lexus do a four wheel alignment and replace the front air struts that were knocking.  My car steers ok.  The 3 other tyres have worn pretty much as one would expect in 13K miles but the front left outer has worn so that the tyre will need to be replaced within 1000 miles.  The tyres have been correctly inflated.  It seems to me that the camber is wrong on the affected tyre but I understand that there is no adjustment for this, if indeed this is the reason.  (I have seen that eccentric bolt kits are advertised outside the UK).  My car is coming up for service shortly but meanwhile anybody else experienced this problem and if so how did you resolve it - thank you.

This isn’t much help but I’ve had exactly the same problem for the past 3 yrs on my 91k miles 2014 RX. The matter is unresolved, despite realignments.  Been doing 15k a year recently and realignments have only made a tiny difference. Am living with it by rotating tyres, which might save me a couple thousand miles, but I don’t keep score. Good luck with your quest!
