Apple CarPlay drop out

I am have experienced apple CarPlay drop outs recently in my LBX. Sometimes when I turn the car on it doesn’t pick up my phone and automatically connect, other times I will get about 1km from home and my apple Music stops because CarPlay has dropped out. It’s frustrating to have to go through the Bluetooth menus when you are driving to reconnect your Iphone.

I have been having problems with the software , particularly apple car play, with the system freezes, blank screen, Siri not working etc. I've been back twice to the dealer, once was fobbed off, second time was taken more seriously but they didn't have any solution. They sent videos and screen shots to Lexus UK who apparently are aware of the issue but as yet I don't have a system that functions properly. I would definitely contact your dealer and if you can get someone else to video the errors while they are happening, as they don't always go wrong when you get to the dealer to show them.  All they generally said was to unpair and repair the phone to the car etc but I guess you have already tried those basic steps?
