2023 UX250h Canbus security encryption

Hi all, I've just been told that extra security had been added to UX cars built in 2023 to protect against thefts that took advantage of vulnerabilities in the Toyota/Lexus Canbus system. (NB this is different to the more common keyless vulnerability.) Therefore, the vehicle tracker that some Lexus dealers have been fitting free of charge isn't available for my 2023 UX.

Just wondered if anyone else had any insights to share?

Hi Roger,I have a 24 reg car and they are fitting mine next month just email lexus uk and tell them you want one and state which dealership and they will do the rest,the dealership rang me and I got it booked in

👍 Used the same approach for my ES. First reaction from my dealer was my vehicle had SW updates that meant I didn't need the tracker, contact Lexus CR and the dealer was told to install the tracker.
