Hi  , we bought a Lexus UX F-Sport on Friday  20 reg in white 23434 miles . Traded in our BMW M-sport . There lots of negativity around BMW's but we have had three without any issues .

Looking forward to some lovely comfortable journeys on it .

Is it worth downloading the Lexus app ?

Thanks Robert

Actually you can look back on your journey info and it’ll warn you if you’ve left the door open.  I’d install it a see if there’s anything you find useful.  In very cold weather I’ve used it to pre warm the car.

My Mrs left a rear window down just a few mm one day, must have caught it with her finger.  It sent me a notification so I phoned her in the supermarket and she was adamant she hadn’t.  Sure enough when she got to it there was a gap.  Maybe enough for a scoundrel to get a door open so I thought that was useful.

Useful but I don’t think OP will get those features as I think they only arrived in late 2022 with the facelift.

I agree with Don.

Use the app. Has interesting driving efficiency analysis, reports about unlocked doors, and has a geo-location feature which is useful if you don't always save the location of your parked car in Maps.

There are also some possible connection difficulties with android auto when the driver is not registered with the App.

Thanks  , just curious if the Lexus app is better than the BMW app .

I have another question can you expand the Navigation screen it seems ridiculous small l can barely read the msp..🙄 .

On the 2nd day of ownership l couldn't start the car .

Flat 12 volt Battery , the recovery guy jumped started it and advised not to use the accessory mode when messing about with various settings  . It's a very small Battery !..D

Thanks Robert ealer checked the battery  all good but advised to give the car a good run or make a appointment to let them fully charge it .

Yes, NEVER use accessory mode for more than a minute or two - always go into full Ready mode when possible.

You don't need to give the car a run to recharge the 12 v Battery - just put it in Ready mode for an hour to charge it (petrol engine will start/stop as needed by the hybrid system to keep the hybrid Battery at the correct state of charge.

How do you find your new car Robert in terms of comfort/ride/economy etc.?  I too traded my BMW in for my UX...which is currently at the dealers getting a couple of new front driveshafts fitted, before it's returned and I can then truly get on with the UX 250h ownership experience😉Incidentally, mine's also a 2020 UX 250h F-Sport at 20K miles in a kind of electric metallic blue, with purple tinges...depending on the angle you look at it🤔 haven't a clue what the colour is called...

Had the car a week so far , really impressed  , totally different from my 3 series . So much easier to get into . The seating position was very low in the Beamer .

Slowly finding my way around the different setup .

The car is so quiet and l love the seats and seating position  . The quality of the interior is top notch

First car l have had with CVT gearbox . Lots of criticism from some reviews , but l find it fine .

Surprised how quick it is plenty of power , lovely steering (once l turned the lane assist off)

Mine is in Sonic White ?

So quirky and different love it , l like the fact you don't see that many on the road .

Now looking to spot one all the time 😀

I currently got a year old F Sport Design 250h courtesy…. Impressed with the performance, and the ‘kickdown’ …….I find the ride fidgety, same as mine and on an LBX I had for a week…but that’s fine, I can get used to it.  My car has never gone anything like the courtesy car, so am really hoping all that changes when I get it back….they tell me both driveshafts are being replaced to be on the safe side….As you say, I too don’t see hardly any of these on the roads where I am, so it can stand out a bit😉

Is the pre warm feature only available on the fully electric model or the hybrid too.

I'm glad you're enjoying the UX, @Booler1949. I had a 2020 '20' plate white F-Sport for three and a half years. A very good car indeed.

Yes - great seats. I loved mine. No issues with power and like yourself, I think complaints about CVT gearboxes are over-exaggerated. Unless you're heavy on the throttle everywhere, I find it perfectly refined (and I come from having three Audi S-Tronic transmissions). You just adjust your driving style to suit - and I think that's where many CVT critics fall down. My only minor issue with quality on the UX was basically the door panels - which I felt needed more of the interior carried over to it, rather than it being mostly plastic. Other than that, a thumbs up for quality too.

My brother has a BMW 3 Series (13 plate) and it does feel very 'low down' indeed when it comes to getting in and out of it! I suffer from arthritis and I've honestly struggled on the odd occasion with it in that respect!

I'll happily stand corrected, but I *think* the only white available for the F-Sport model back then (and maybe now?) was 'F-Sport White'. That's what mine was and I'm reasonably sure it was the only white available for that model.

The only real reason I changed from the UX to the NX was down to a lack of boot space. I knew it would be a bit of an issue when I bought the car but honestly thought I'd work my way around it. To be fair, during the working week, I did. It was absolutely fine. It just proved to be a little too small when it come to some weekends and trips away. If the boot was about 20% bigger, I'd have probably opted for another UX because otherwise it suited my needs perfectly.

Thanks for the information  .

The car has 3 new Radar runflats

I noticed the rear has a new Radar , but a Bridgestone on the same axle . Wonder if this is within the law ?

Thanks Robert

It's a 5 layer sonic colour - they are not easy to match 😞

I have often wondered about the word "sonic" to describe a colour!

Is there a sound absorbing quality of the paint, or is this someone in product design/marketing that needs a stern talking to?!

There a sonic process involved in the application of the paint:
