Audio System Recall ES300

Hi All

I was informed when my car was serviced today that there was a recall for the Audio system. The service department could not tell me what was getting fixed or carry out the works as they said they did not have the materials.

I was told they would call me when materials/parts were available.

Anyone know what the recall issue is ?

Not heard anything myself. Mine is going in next week for the Tracker to be fitted, I will ask about it then and post anything useful.

Got the official recall notice today the issues is below.

What is the condition?
Your vehicle is fitted with a Display Audio unit which has a function to transfer the data to the server. However, after a software
update of this unit, this function turns off automatically due to program issues. This malfunction can result in the accidental
deletion of personal information, potentially leading to a non-compliance with GDPR regulations.

It seems to have taken them a long time to realise that their last software update in February had not been properly tested - unless we were meant to be testing it!
