Cabin Temperature Sensor

Recommended Posts

My heater is blowing cold (car up to temperature, tried AC on/AC off and messed around with all the controls for ever). Some of the old forums mention the Cabin Temperature Sensor which appears to be behind the little louvre up by your knee. Has anyone had this issue and managed to fix it..??

Ok when I first got my SC a few months ago the Cabin Temperature Sensor was actually disconnected. But the symptons were differant to you. On max/Lo cooling it was fine nice and cold. Anything above this on the setting it was red hot air been blown out. That was an easy fix.

Check the heater flow valve located on the rear engine bay bulkhead ( remove the engine cover then look at the centre rear of the engine).

Warm up the engine and with the climate control set to full hot check if both the water pipes are hot ( inlet and outlet).

If not check if the actuator arm moves when you change from full hot to full cold on the climate control.

If the arm/lever does move but only the inlet hose is warm the valve has failed internally.
