Anybody tried a rearview mirror power jumper for dashcams?

Hi!,

Just looking at options for powering up a dashcam I plan on buying, using something like this seems easy:

I know I can power a dashcam through one of three ways (lighter 12v, OBD port, hard wire) but the product linked just seems the easiest if it's compatible, and it's relatively cheap. No more routing wires through trim or headliners, no fiddling about with fuses, and no chance of an electrical gremlin due to plugging in to the OBD port (I've seen some reviews reporting the last bit).

If anyone has tried some other brand I'd appreciate a link if it worked fine for you.
